Pioneer Kuro Plasma HDTV

Kuro is the future of Pioneer flat-panel displays.
It’s a world without boundaries.
A place where the senses evolve, colours are felt and sounds can be tasted.
An experience that changes not only the way you look at television,
but the way you look at the world.
In short, Kuro takes you beyond anything you have ever imagined.
To a place where you will see and hear like never before.

Black is everything. Black breathes life into colour. Black brings forth detail.
Black creates dimension and space. Black is where great images are born.
Painters start with a white canvas, televisions start with black. The deeper blacks enable
the television to work from a larger palette and create a wider range of colours.
Everything the director intended, everything the creator envisioned, from the subtlest nuance
to the most powerful picture, ends up where it was meant to be, on the screen in front of you.
Not surprisingly, as Kuro literally means “black”, it is something it does like nothing else.
Creating an infinite abyss at the very source, through a revolutionary technology capable of reducing light at rest by 80%.

Which means truer, deeper, denser blacks than have ever been possible.
Greater contrast, richer detail, remarkable subtlety, vibrant textures and dimension.
The result will take your breath away, finally fulfilling the near limitless
promise of plasma television by producing the most astonishing, lifelike, transcendent
and emotionally powerful images ever seen on a television.

As revolutionary as the blacks are, they are just the beginning of what makes the Kuro so amazing.
Only part of what makes it like no other television, something you’ve never seen before. Images so pristine,so perfect. A picture virtually without noise, blurring, distortion or inconsistencies.
The Kuro is something completely new. Something totally different.
Every feature has been rethought. Every contributing technology redesigned and reinvented
from the ground up. With a revolutionary new flat panel, a category redefining
colour filter, and a ground breaking video processor, the images on the Kuro are more vibrant and life-like than any you have experienced on a television before.
And while each one of these advancements is an extraordinary technological achievement by itself, they were not conceived of separately. They were not created in a vacuum but
rather designed to come together, producing something truly greater than the sum of its parts.
The Kuro is the result of a holistic approach, a conscious choice to ignore all the rules.
To disregard accepted limitations and barriers.
To reassess everything known about making a television, and instead make
something that stretches the limits of what might even be called a television anymore.

The Kuro sees. The Kuro understands.
It can tell day from night, evaluate the environment and even analyse the picture it’s displaying.
It then does something truly intelligent.
It adjusts the picture settings.
All by itself.
But the most astonishing thing about all this brainpower is, you never actually see it working.
All you see is a picture that’s incredibly vivid, clear, crisp, and stunningly brilliant.
No matter what you are watching, when you are watching,
where you are watching,
you are experiencing television in a completely new way.

The Kuro makes sound an integral part of the journey.
A completely reinvented audio system,
including digital amplification and beautifully balanced speakers create sound
that wraps itself around your ears and pours itself over your entire body.
With Kuro, you will truly see and hear like never before.

The Kuro is a complete experience.
With full 1080p performance, the Kuro delivers the highest resolution possible.
By doubling the number of pixels in the Kuro 1080p televisions to over 2 million,
the clarity of the picture far surpasses what is available in other home entertainment systems.
But no matter what Kuro you watch, you are witnessing a complete departure. A revolution.
We have reinvented television.
From the way the images are created, to the way they are presented on the screen, we have moved past
an endless sea of indistinguishable flat panels, and crossed the line into a whole new world.

A birthstone is a gift of a precious material (jewelry, mainly gemstones; themselves traditionally associated with various qualities) that symbolizes the month of birth (in the Gregorian Calendar). It is sometimes also called birthday stone (cf. infra; but that word is, confusingly, sometimes used as a synonym for an anniversary gift, which is related to the recipient's age, that is, year of birth) from wikipedia.org

A birthstone is a gift of a precious material (jewelry, mainly gemstones; themselves traditionally associated with various qualities) that symbolizes the month of birth (in the Gregorian Calendar). It is sometimes also called birthday stone (cf. infra; but that word is, confusingly, sometimes used as a synonym for an anniversary gift, which is related to the recipient's age, that is, year of birth).

Traditional Birthstones

Often combined with modern birthstone lists, traditional birthstones are older society-based birthstones. Since many different cultures had their own list, jewelers' lists are often inconsistent over what constitutes a traditional birthstone. The table below contains many stones which are popular choices, often reflecting Polish tradition. [2]

Modern Birthstones

In 1912, in an effort to standardize them, the American national association of jewelers, Jewelers of America, officially adopted the following list; it is currently the most widely used list in the United States and many other locations, including Australia and Thailand. Some alternates have been adopted to be a less expensive substitute for a cut stone. Tanzanite was added to December by the American Gem Trade Association in 2002. Most organizations do not recognize tanzanite as a December birthstone, however, and the AGTA's move to make it a December birthstone has generally been viewed as a marketing ploy[citation needed].

Mystical Birthstones

Mystical Birthstones are of Tibetan origin and date back over a thousand years.

Ayervedic Birthstones

The Ayurvedic birthstone list is from the ancient Indian medicine and philosophy dating back to ancient India (1500 BC).
